BioTask is an ADHD-friendly task management platform. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how we handle it when you use the BioTask website, apps, and services (the "Service").

Information we collect

• Account data such as email, name, hashed password, and authentication metadata.
• Product data you add to the Service, including tasks, brain state check-ins, notes, and preferences.
• Usage and device data like IP address, browser type, timestamps, and basic logs for security and reliability.
• Payment metadata such as Stripe customer and subscription IDs (card details are handled by Stripe).

How we use information

• Provide and operate the Service, including AI-assisted task features you request.
• Authenticate users, secure accounts, and prevent abuse.
• Process subscriptions, billing, and account changes.
• Respond to support requests and send required service emails.
• Improve reliability, performance, and feature quality.

AI processing

When you use AI features (such as task splitting or decision support), we send the minimum necessary task content to the configured AI provider. BioTask currently supports providers like OpenAI or Google Gemini, and local models in development environments. We do not use your content to train our own models. AI providers process data under their own terms, and we configure no-training options where available.

Service providers

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We receive billing status and subscription metadata.
• Transactional email is delivered through Resend.
• Infrastructure, hosting, and logging providers help us operate the Service.

Analytics

We use Simple Analytics to understand website usage. This service is privacy-friendly and does not collect personal data or use cookies. It complies with GDPR, CCPA and PECR.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can request deletion, and we will remove data from active systems within a reasonable period, subject to legal or security needs.

Your choices

• Access or update your account information in your profile settings.
• Request deletion of your account by contacting us.
• Opt out of non-essential emails using the unsubscribe link provided.
